oatway productions history

Oatway Productions, owned and operated by Jessie Oatway, started out as a group of friends in Golden, BC who love to push themselves and one another as they grew up. Once Jessie got into filming, the overall progression of everyone, including himself, was almost unbelievable.  The camera had given them a reason to push themselves even harder, "it seemed like 'stomp (the trick) or bail,' it was more rewarding to get to watch ourselves afterwards," says Jessie.  It wasn't until they made a couple of crappy edits that people started to compliment their progression and ask when the next edit was going to be out. That's when they realized that this is more than just for them and their own progression, others could also find enjoyment in watching their lives. Their hobbies became their lives and even though work and school has now been separating them from their shredding time, when they get together, they are one of the most dedicated friend groups out there. The crew knows each other way too well and it goes to show; they feed off each other's energy and push one another to progress equally as one. These guys truly were born n' bred to shred. They film, edit and star in their own movies to inspire people and show them how easy and fun it can be to do what you love with your friends.

Jessie is the heart and soul of Oatway Productions. Jessie is very dedicated and passionate about documenting the progression of the crew. Every since high school he's been at it, pushing the crew to try new things and go to new spots, "all i had to do was bring the camera with me anytime we went out," says Jessie. Broken bones and all, you'll still find him out sledding in the back country or at the skatepark with his friends just so he can film their lines. If he's not snowboarding and filming, he's most likely building something to snowboard on or nerding out in front of his computer editing vids.
